SPECS 2016 Delivers in Big D

By: Lynn Robbins, VP of Capital Projects
We’re more than ready to talk about The Store Transformed, Innovation to Execution and much more at the 52nd annual Chain Store Guide’s Store Planning, Equipment, Construction, and Facility Services Show. But let’s admit it, we can hardly wait for Pat Riley, NBA Hall of Famer, Lakers icon and former head coach of the New York Knicks and Miami Heat, to kick off SPECS 2016. We’re betting that Riley will, well, bring on the heat as he delves into issues that drive teamwork, leadership, success−−and failure. We’re wondering if he’ll recall those early Lakers days, the Memorial Day Massacre and the end result: An NBA championship for the Lakers.

It’s a great lesson for us all. When the chips are down, can you rise up, beat the odds and overcome the obstacles? Can you manage the complexities and challenges that seem inherent in facilities management? These are the questions that drive us to participate at SPECS each year. It is a key event where retail and food service experts and end-users share, speak, listen and collaborate. It’s where real problems are solved and where real people come to get answers.

Elevate Your Facilities Performance in #906

You’ll find FacilitySource at booth #906 in the solution center, which is located in the Trinity exhibit hall at this year’s venue, the Hilton Anatole. It’s an anxiety-free visit, guaranteed. No pressure or silly games, just clear dialogue that address your questions and needs. The conversation usually focuses on capital projects and make or break issues that impact the success of these strategic initiatives. Here are the top three pain points we hear – and look forward to addressing – at this year’s event:

  • Paralyzed by Pop-Ups. When a crisis pops up, it’s imperative that your business doesn’t miss a beat. That’s why we provide you with the best providers in all disciplines, from electricians and plumbers to construction personnel, painters and HVAC pros, just to name a few. We also have more than 25,000 providers in our network so you get a quick response.
  • Vexed by No Visibility. Capital Projects require an understanding of the client’s needs, precise planning, consistent execution, and ongoing status checks. If you can’t see specs, bids, work orders, progress reports and more, the project could be in danger without your knowledge. Experience has taught us that it’s imperative to have “always on” visibility. We’ll show you how fmPilot, our dynamic work order and asset management system, helps all users enter facility work requests, dispatch work orders, track assets and create facility reports on a variety of activities.
  • Crunched by Chaos. Effective, efficient project management requires precision through a definitive process. Adhering to industry standards and following best practices gives your initiative the best chance for success. We strategically plan and execute everything using the Project Management Institute’s proven methodology. This cuts out the chaos, increases quality and improves performance.

Today and tomorrow, come find FacilitySource at #906 during SPECS 2016 as we fulfill our mission to elevate your facilities’ performance. Whether we talk capital projects, Coach Riley, the NBA or that upcoming Capital Project, we’ll be ready for you. Click here to schedule a meeting at SPECS 2016. We’ll see you there!
